An evangelist, activist, author, and a former Georgia state representative, she is also the niece of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. “I too have a dream,” she said. “I have a dream that America will pray, and God will forgive us our sins.” Alveda brings her unique background and biblical perspective to address issues facing our nation.

Alveda C. King, PhD, serves as Chair of the America First Policy Institute’s Center for the American Dream and Senior Policy Advisor for Priests for Life. She is the daughter of the late slain civil rights activist Rev. A. D. King and the niece of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., as well as a Christian evangelist; graduate of Aidan University; and is founder of SPEAK FOR LIFE, and ALVEDA KING MINISTRIES (www.alvedaking.com).
