Honoring the children God brings to World Outreach Church is at the heart of our mission as a church and as Christ-followers. We consider what happens in our Children’s Ministry experiences to be as important as what happens in the main sanctuaries. We make every effort to honor your trust by creating a safe, secure environment for your children to learn about God. See more about security below.

WOC Nursery – Brand New through age 3

We believe that even the youngest among us can begin to cultivate a relationship with Jesus! We use stories from the Bible to teach your children these three truths—

  1. God made me.
  2. God loves me.
  3. Jesus wants to be my friend forever.

Early Childhood - 4 years through 1st Grade

The children in 4 years – 1st Grade are broken down into two groups:

4’s & 5’s
The 4 and 5 year olds participate each weekend with Lil’K during Large Group. They engage in worship and are taught biblical truths. Learning about God’s people encourages them to love, to be a friend, to share, to talk and to follow God. Classroom time consists of small groups that include activities, snack and crafts that reinforce the biblical truths taught in Large Group.

K through 1st
The Kindergarten and 1st Grade children participate in KIDMO! during Large Group. This Large Group time includes interactive worship, the teaching of God’s truths and the influence these truths have on their choices and actions. In the classroom, the Kindergarten and 1st Graders use the small group setting to put these truths into practice by participating in appropriate games and activities.

Early Elementary - 2nd & 3rd Grades

Kidmo! is an interactive curriculum that uses the following elements to help our 2 and 3rd graders dig deeper into God’s Word—

  • Worship
  • Bible memory challenges
  • Small group reinforcement
  • Take home review

Upper Elementary - 4th through 6th Grade

Children participate in grade-level groups with instruction and activities conducted in large and small group settings. Children build principles of character by participating in hands-on teaching, as well as dynamic praise and worship. They also have the chance to participate in our Advance Track Program and our Salt Team. Our volunteer leaders use age appropriate curriculum to guide children in learning Bible concepts and apply them in their lives now.” Each week’s lessons include cultural and biblical applications.

Evening Children's Ministries - Birth through 6th Grades

On Sunday and Wednesday evenings, we also focus on the potential for each child to begin understanding basic concepts about God at their young age. Sunday evenings at 6:00 consists of Birth through 6th Graders learning about God through lessons, crafts and other activities. On Wednesday evenings, at 7:00, Birth through 6th Graders are taught through age-appropriate curriculum how to grow as a young Christ-follower.

Children's Choir - 2nd through 6th Grade

2nd through 6th Graders have the opportunity to participate in the WOC Children’s Choir on Sunday evenings during the school year. Throughout the year, the children are able to perform in special events and worship services. The children are able to use their musical gifts and learn how to worship God through music and service.

Children's Ministry Security

The safety of every child involved in Children’s Ministry activities at World Outreach Church is very important. To help ensure a safe atmosphere, we use a Name Tag Security System. Every person entering the classroom areas (parents, children and volunteers) are asked to wear a provided Children’s Ministry Name Tag. Any outside doors in Children’s Ministry areas are locked and should not be used as an entrance or exit by children, parents or volunteers.

All Children being picked up from their classrooms must be met by a parent or designated individual registered as an alternate pick-up. Alternate pick-ups must be at least 16 years old and have a photo I.D. To obtain Parent Tags, please visit one of the Children’s Ministry Information Desks during the weekend to complete a request form and have your picture taken.

Want to Get Involved?

World Outreach Church believes that every believer is a minister. A great way to get involved is by serving in Children’s Ministry. We are always looking for people to join us in blessing children each week. If you would like to serve, visit one of the Children’s Ministry Information Desks to find out how to get involved!
