Scott Hamilton - September 29/30
Guest speaker for services Saturday evening September 29 and Sunday morning, September 30 is Scott Hamilton. The most recognized male figure skating star in the world, and figure skating’s voice of authority in the U.S., Scott Hamilton captured the attention of the world winning the Olympic Gold medal in Saravejo in 1984. Since then, he has shared his love and enthusiasm for the sport as an analyst, performer, producer and best-selling author. He inspires others as a speaker, humanitarian, and as a cancer and pituitary brain tumor survivor. Scott currently heads the Scott Hamilton CARES Foundation (Cancer Alliance for Research, Education and Survivorship) and the Scott Hamilton Skating Academy. As a champion and survivor, he is a constant reminder that with faith, fortitude and determination, anything is possible.
