Birth – 3-Years-Old
We believe that even the youngest among us can begin to cultivate a relationship with Jesus.

Using stories from the Bible, we teach your children these three truths:
• God made me • God loves me • Jesus wants to be my friend forever
4-Years-Old to 1st Grade
We divide this age bracket into two groups: 4’s & 5’s and Kindergarten – 1st Grade.

4 & 5 Year Olds
Each weekend, 4-year-old and 5-year-old children enjoy learning biblical truths in a large-group setting and in smaller classrooms. We use age-appropriate curriculum to teach them about God’s people, encouraging them to love, to be a friend, to share, to pray, and to follow God. The large-group session includes worship and teaching. Classroom time offers a small-group atmosphere with activities, a snack, and crafts that reinforce the biblical truths taught in the large-group session.
Kindergarten & 1st Grade
Each weekend, Kindergarten and 1st Grade children enjoy learning biblical truths in a large-group setting and in smaller classrooms. The large-group session offers interactive worship and teaching using age-appropriate curriculum. We work to show the children how God’s truths can influence their choices and actions. The classroom provides a small-group setting where children can put these truths into practice by participating in games and activities.
2nd & 3rd Grades
Each weekend, we use an interactive curriculum to teach your children biblical truth. With videos, games, and worship with WOC’s Children’s Ministry Worship Team, our 2nd and 3rd graders dig deeper into God’s Word.
4th & 5th Grades
Children learn more about cultivating good character and making godly choices as we teach them God’s truth using curriculum appropriate for each grade.
Learn More
We use both large-group and small-group settings for biblical instruction and offer activities to help them apply each lesson to their lives. Each session also includes praise and worship time. Children in this age bracket also can participate in our Advance Track Program and our SALT Team.
6th Grade
Moving from elementary school to junior high is a big transition, and that’s why we have a special class just for sixth graders.
Learn More
Our goal is to prepare them for small groups, which begin in seventh grade. Students work through Pastor Allen’s Whiteboard Bible study and learn more about the Holy Spirit and hearing God’s voice. Each session also includes praise and worship.
The Advance Track Program
INSPIRING 4TH-6TH GRADERS TO LEARN MORE
Students earn points for completing activities and memorizing scripture. As they earn points, they win prizes, a party at the end of the semester, and discounts to Character Quest in the Summer.
Learn More
Our Advance Track Program provides 4th to 6th grade students with a curriculum to work through at home, enabling them to learn more about God’s Word.
SALT Team
Student Action Leadership Training (SALT) is a program available to 6th graders who have met the requirements to participate.
Learn More
While in 5th grade, students are measured on attendance, Advance Track Program points, and classroom engagement to earn their way onto the SALT Team. Once in SALT, they are partnered with volunteer mentors and attend once-a-month meetings to develop godly leadership skills.

Children’s Ministry Security
Safety and security is a top priority at WOC, and we have established protocols to keep every child safe. When you arrive at church, please check in your child at any of our kiosk locations.
Learn MOre
The kiosk will print:
- A name tag for your child.
- A tag for your child’s teacher with any important information your teacher needs to know. Your phone number is also listed on the teacher tag, in case we need to reach you during service.
- A guardian tag to pick up your child. You must present your guardian tag at the entrance of all Children’s Ministry spaces in order to enter the areas. Your guardian tag also includes a unique code that matches your child’s name tag, and our volunteers will confirm these codes match before releasing your child back to you.
The Children’s Ministry Areas can only be accessed from within the church itself. All outside doors in these areas are locked and should not be used as an entrance or exit by children, parents, or volunteers.
Check-in Procedures – First-Time Guests
An information desk is located at each Children’s Ministry area. Stop by any of them, and a volunteer will provide you with temporary ID badges for you and your children.
Learn MOre
After receiving your temporary badges, our volunteers will help you find the correct classroom(s). Once your children are settled, you may proceed to any worship sanctuary. Your children will be waiting in their classroom(s) for you to pick them up after service. You must present your temporary ID badge to enter the classroom areas, and to pick up your children.
