Before your holiday gatherings, invite the Holy Spirit to be present in your midst. The prayer below can help you prepare your heart as you step into the holiday season. Let’s be diligent to take our faith and our biblical worldview each place we go.

A Prayer for Beginning a Life of Faith:

Almighty God, I am a sinner, and I need a Savior. Forgive me for my sins. I forgive those who have sinned against me. I believe Jesus is Your Son, that He died on the cross for my sins, and that He was raised to life for my justification. I choose Him as Lord of my life today, and I want to serve Him with my whole heart. Amen.

I intend to lead with my faith by forgiving.

A Prayer to Forgive and Be Forgiven:

Heavenly Father, give me a forgiving heart—a heart like Yours. Teach me to forgive others as You have forgiven me. I release those who have caused me pain and heartache. Please also forgive me when I hurt others. Create within me a clean heart that is pleasing in Your sight. If there is anything that separates me from Your best, help me to recognize it and show me the path to freedom. In Jesus’ name, amen.

I intend to lead with my faith with my resources.

A Prayer To Offer Your Resources to the Lord:

Heavenly Father, teach me to be a generous person, giving to those in need around me. Give me the discipline to manage my resources well. I recognize You have given all of them to me. Help me to return a portion of those resources to You, in loving gratitude for Your provision physically and spiritually. Thank You for all You’ve given me—even the things I take for granted. Give me the courage and willingness to share those blessings with others. In Jesus’ name, amen.

A Prayer to Invite God into Your Home:

Heavenly Father, I pray Your presence would fill my home with Your peace and protection. Give me the wisdom to make choices in my home that honor You and bring great blessings into my life and the lives of those around me. I know nothing is hidden from Your sight. Direct my steps so they are pleasing to You. May the peace of God and the joy of the Lord fill my home each day. In Jesus’ name, amen.

A Prayer to Invite God into Your Daily Work

Heavenly Father, awaken me to Your purposes for my life. I believe You have placed me in my current position to bring You glory. In the midst of my routines and responsibilities, help me to be aware of possibilities and assignments You present. Forgive me when I grumble and complain. I trust You to provide the resources, strength, patience, and whatever else is needed to enable me to thrive. Thank You for Your faithfulness to me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
