K-1st Grade
Early Childhood
Every service, Kindergarten and 1st grade children enjoy learning biblical truths in both a large group setting and in smaller classrooms. We begin each service in the classroom, which offers a small-group atmosphere with activities, games, and group discussions that reinforce the biblical truths taught in the large-group session. During large group, we have a specific team of volunteers who teach the lesson and engage with the children during the Questions from Kids videos. The Early Childhood wing is located across from Three Crosses Sanctuary.
Curriculum
We use an age-appropriate curriculum called Gospel Project. This interactive, chronological curriculum guides children through the entire Bible, helping them see how every story points to Jesus and the Gospel. With a strong emphasis on Godās redemptive plan through His Son, Jesus Christ, each lesson draws children into the unified story of Scripture, from Genesis to Revelation.
We want every child to understand that the Bible is not just a collection of stories, but one powerful, cohesive story: Godās story of redemption. During each unit we will have the same key passage and ābig pictureā question. Each week, there is a different Bible story connected to that key passage and big picture question.
Activities
Snacks & Allergies
Snack time is not part of our regular service, but class parties take place during special times of the year. Approved snacks will be provided by WOC staff and volunteers. A list will be posted outside the classroom door for your approval at these special times. For the safety of all children, please note that our areas are nut-free.
